Joanne Vosloo is a South African/Swiss creative freelancer based in Amsterdam. With a background in fashion design, she works on projects from concept to completion, combining technical knowledge with a keen visual sensibility.
She approaches her work in a creative, playful, and intuitive way, keeping overview while staying focused on the details. Described as a “Swiss Army knife”, she adapts to different challenges, applying her versatile skills to realize projects that balance her own artistic style with the core identity of the brands she works with, such as Scotch & Soda and Fabienne Chapot.
Fashion Design
Fashion has always been the driving force. She is particularly drawn to lifelong objects and their significance, which is reflected in her collection The Collector and her series Daughter’s Birthday Dresses.
Jewellery Design
Creating Art jewellery and soft accessories; both as custom pieces and for fashion campaigns.
Window Displays
Her practice often involves repurposing discarded objects and materials, transforming them into visually engaging installations. This includes turning used cardboard boxes into suspended floral sculptures and repurposing toy balls into floating pearls. She also designs modular display objects that can be adapted seasonally, allowing for more sustainable and long-lasting solutions.
Jo’s Art Club
With a background in fashion and art, and as a mother, I want to offer children a magical place to explore art in a playful way. In my studio they can discover different materials and techniques while bringing ideas to life. My list of projects is endless: from Rave to Rembrandt, from flying birds to a fashionista doll for the Christmas tree. Each class is a surprising project. I can’t wait to get started!
